Phonica is a Dublin-based poetry and music venture with an emphasis on multiformity and the experimental.
Apart from poetry and music sets, we regularly incorporate the visual arts, projections, installations, performance art, theatrics – and combinations of these.
Our aim is to provide a space for practitioners from across artistic disciplines to present new work, in the process exchanging compositional and performative ideas.
We particularly encourage collaboration and improvisation.
Our continued remit to challenge our invited artists and engage our audiences into extending their understanding of what each artform can be, how their boundaries can stretch, how they can interact, and what they can absorb from each other, through a unique programme featuring artists from the Irish and European avant-garde, and increasingly beyond.
